The entry requirements for the 6th Form:
Students must be studying one of the following two courses:
- Alimiyyah Course
- Hifz Course
Students must also achieve the required entry grade for the A-Level of choice.
The A level course, normally will be spread over the two years of the Sixth Form (Years 12 and 13), it is a Linear course with examinations taken at the end of the course. Students will be assessed in each term to identify progress.
For each subject the initial units make up the AS qualification normally completed at the end of the Lower Sixth and then the final (A2) units complete the full A level.
Abrar Academy aims for educational excellence, and it is envisaged all of the Upper Sixth will continue towards Higher Education and study at Level 4 standard. Regular monitoring of progress is essential to ensure that each student realises his fullest potential.
Work is formally assessed at frequent intervals and the results analysed so that advice and guidance can be made available in good time.
The option range will be considered regularly for enhancement with additional subjects, provided that there is evidence of a sustainable demand for a subject in terms of students on roll.
The options currently available include: Accounting, ICT, Business Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Arabic and Urdu.
