ALIMIYYAH COURSE CURRICULUM OUTLINE

KS3 Level 1 – Students will learn the Urdu Language focusing on reading, writing and speaking skills. Islamic Fiqh along with the memorisation of the Quran will be apportioned in this year. (Optional based on assessment of Urdu Language)

KS3 Level 2 – Students will learn the Basics of the Arabic Language taught through the English/Urdu medium. Further reinforcement of the Urdu Language will take place by teaching a wide range of Urdu texts and creative writing.

KS3 Level 3 – Students will focus on Spoken Arabic (Hiwaar), Arabic Syntax (Nahw), Arabic Literature (Adab) and Arabic Morphology (Sarf).

Students will also study towards the Edexcel GCSE Arabic.

KS4/Level 3/4/5 – Upon satisfactory completion of Key Stage 3, students advance to the final 4 years, this is a further detailed study of the theology of Islam.  This level is an in depth, detailed study of the following subjects, which is conclusive of an intense study of the varying opinions in Islamic Jurisprudence across the four schools of thought in Shariah: Exegesis of Prophetic Traditions, Principles of Prophetic Traditions, Translation and Interpretation of the Qur’an, Exegesis of the Qu’ran, Principles of the Exegesis of the Qu’ran, Inheritance Law, Islamic Creed, Islamic Rhetoric, Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence and Sciences of Qur’anic Recitation.

As-Sihah as-Sittah

An intense and detailed study of the six famous Hadeeth compilations: Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abi Dawud, Sunan Ibn Majah, Sunan at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an- Nasa’i.
