Madrasah Curriculum

Qur’an Hifdh Course

Our leader the Prophet of Allah (Upon whom be peace) has stated ‘the best amongst you is he who learns the Quran and teaches it’.

He (peace be upon him) also stated ‘he who reads the Quran and memorises it and deems what it permits as permissible and deems that which it has prohibited as forbidden Allah will enter him into paradise and enable him to intercede for ten upon whom hell was binding’.

Memorising the Quran in a person’s youth is one of the highest forms of worship one which will benefit not only the child but the parents. Our morning period will aim for the students to commit the entire Quran to memory using trusted traditional methods employed for generations.

We plan that children who devote the required commitment can finish memorising the Quran in three years, by the grace of Allah. Parents will be given feedback on the progress of the child through monthly reviews, and on a daily basis through the student planner.

In collaboration with our Hifz programme, we have daily Tarbiyah programme that is taught in a subtle and interactive way, focusing on good manners, morals, and jurisprudence.

Alimiyyah Course

The Alimiyyah course is primarily an undergraduate course which is studied at three different levels through to its successful completion. The course covers Islamic Sciences such as; Aqīdah (Islamic Belief), Tajwīd (Quranic Pronunciation), Fiqh (Islamic Law), Tafsīr (Quranic Commentary), Usūl al-Fiqh (Principles of Islamic Law), Usūl al-Hadīth (Principles of Hadith Sciences), and Hadith (Prophetic Traditions).

Classes of the ‘Alimiyyah Program are taught in English in the primary years, progressing to Urdu, in addition to certain courses in the latter years being taught in Arabic.

The program ends with an intense year of studying the six Hadith collections (sihah sittah) and an additional two Hadith collections. Successful completion of the program will result in traditional ijāzāt in the Islamic Sciences and an unbroken sanad (chain of narration) going back to Rasulullah صلى الله عليه و سلم.

Graduates of the program will be well qualified and equipped to serve the community by filling the posts of Imams, teachers, chaplains, writers, and researchers.

Mu`awiyah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, “When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of Deen.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
